Don’t think about the overall size of the amiibo sticker; just make sure the amiibo logo is properly aligned, and it will stay in place when you peel it off (I had a small piece fall off, unfortunately).
Contrary to the description, it is not the latest firmware, but you can search online and install the latest Korean firmware version 2.16.

I haven’t tried using it in games yet, but otherwise it seems to function correctly. I already uploaded an amiibo and it updated. However, it doesn’t come with printed instructions, and to load the amiibo data, you have to follow a video guide.

It’s actually quite a handy little device, and while getting it to work initially did take a bit of time, i finally managed to successfully update it using the dfu app that’s downloaded onto my phone.
